Welcome back after the long weekend! This week, we are back to a normal schedule. Here's some things we are going to work on... Reading: We are going to read a few stories about wolves. We are going to add six sight words, and this week, we have eight spelling words. We will talk about how to classify and categorize words, and continue working on what a full sentence looks like. Math: On Monday, we will assess what students have learned about Subtraction. The rest of the week, we will begin working on how we can display information (tally marks, pictographs, bar graphs) and will even be able to connect this to our organisms unit by talking about colors of leaves! Exploration: This week will be our last full week studying organisms! This week, we will look at leaves, bats, and germs, and talk about how different kinds of organisms sense things in the world around them. Below (if it will load), I will attach the handout I will send home Monday with this weeks sounds and important words. Friday! This Friday is the Fall Carnival. It will start at 6pm, and will be a lot of fun! Have a great week! Ms. Carroll
